What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focusing on strengthening muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. It's suitable for people of all fitness levels.
What can I expect from an Align with Chloe Pilates class?
A class that focusses on strengthening the core, improving flexibility, and increasing mind - body awareness. Expect a combination of controlled movements, focussing on the breath, and low-impact exercises that target specific muscle groups. The class also incorporates mindfulness and relaxation to help you release tension and leave you feeling centred and rejuvenated.
Do I need any experience to join a Pilates class?
Absolutely not! Our classes cater to all levels. You'll be guided through each movement where modifications will be available.
What should I wear/bring to a Pilates class?
Wear clothes suitable to exercise in, and just bring yourself and a water bottle! Mats and equipment are provided but you're welcome to bring your own mat.
Where are the classes located?
The Monday and Thursday classes are held at Stoke Damerel Community College, in the theatre. Exact directions will be sent to you once booking is confirmed.
